The Canberra Mothercraft Society is incredibly proud to partner with Roundabout Canberra for the provision of safe sleep spaces and breast pumps for families in need.
Having a safe place to sleep is one of the most fundamental needs for a newborn. It protects babies from preventable harm, supports healthy development, and gives parents peace of mind. Yet many families we assist are experiencing financial hardship or relocation and are not able to rest due to the stress of not being able to put their baby to sleep in a safe, clean sleep space. Our financial support allows local babies to sleep, safe and sound, through receiving a brand-new cot and mattress from Roundabout.
For mothers experiencing vulnerability, a reliable breast pump can make a huge difference, helping them continue giving their baby the best chance even when facing external challenges.
Unfortunately, the high cost of new pumps means many families simply can’t access this vital support. We support Roundabout to gift breast pumps to mothers, giving the dignity of ownership, fulfilling one of Roundabout Canberra’s core values.
